Private Patients

Victoria Wing is a 17 bedded ward dedicated to Private Patients but it also includes a 2 bedded Isolation Unit. The types of patients nursed on the ward is varied and includes, orthopaedics, gastrointestinal surgery,ear nose and throat, vascular,ophthalmic, urology, gynaecology plus medical patients presenting with a wide range of clinical conditions. The broad range of patients catered for on the ward means that there is a wealth of nursing experience available to you. As with the Surgical unit Care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team led by consultant surgeons with input from specialist nurses. Student Nurses are regularly assigned to the ward and a ward based teaching programme is up and running.

The ward is made up entirely of single rooms which are all en-suite and have the latest monitoring facilities in each room linked to the central nurses station. Staff are actively involved in hospital wide intiatives to advance nursing practice on the island.
