Nursing salaries on Guernsey are comparable to those within the UK’s NHS but, with high personal allowances and a low income tax rate of 20%, take-home pay can be significantly more.

In addition, we pay a  retention bonus of £1,000 on completion of one year's service.  Plus, a second payment of £3,500 will be paid to nurses in specific areas of recruitment eg, Adult Disability Service, Mental Health, Theatres and ICU/CCU pro rata for part-time staff. A further lump sum of £697 is paid each February.
